We are a firm of Chartered Building Surveyors & Engineers based in East Lancashire. Our head office is located in Burnley and we have sub-offices in Blackburn and Lancaster.

We are a Multidisciplinary Practice offering a diverse range of property-related services, including building surveys, project design and management, and engineering services.

We have a wide range of clients including private individuals, commercial organisations, schools and colleges, local authorities, and housing associations.

Our firm was established in 1985 as AF Comish and Associates, and in 1995 John Sharples took over as managing partner, and the partnership was renamed ACS Partnership.

We regularly undertake work for Local Authorities including Lancashire County Council and act as retained surveyors for a number of secondary and primary schools. In particular, we act for the majority of the High Schools in Rossendale and have done so far in the past 13 years.

Other clients include 3 RSL’s (residential social landlords) which have a housing stock of in excess of 27,000 units. We have been instrumental in developing and piloting framework partnering agreements in line with the requirements of Eagan principles – having been actively involved in OJEU procurement for works valued at approximately £10m. After a successful pilot scheme, this procurement route has been rolled out to the other RSL’s.
